John Malik
The Consultant leading the team, John Malik, is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon, specialising in foot surgery. Podiatric Surgeons have in the first instance studied as Podiatrists, thus they have the advantage of years of background experience treating feet conservatively prior to undertaking training as foot surgeons. Podiatric Surgeons are Fellows of the Surgical Faculty of the College of Podiatrists, whose qualification is registered under the Health Professions Council.

John is a highly experienced and respected Consultant Podiatric Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the Surgical Faculty of the College of Podiatrists, holds a substantive NHS appointment as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon and honorary Consultant Surgeon appointments in the West Midlands, is the Head of Podiatry at the Birmingham School of Podiatry, is a Faculty Board Member for the Surgical Faculty of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. He is also registered with the government’s regulatory body for allied health care professionals, the Health Professions Council and is Resident Health Expert for Saga Radio Station.

John Malik is the Consultant in charge of all care that takes place within the Birmingham Foot Clinic. He is personally responsible for your care, and is readily available to patients attending the clinic ensuring a personal and responsive service.
