Dr Peter Millns, FRCA
(Consultant Anaesthetist)
(HPC Registered Podiatrist, Bsc (Hons), MChS)

Peter Millns qualified at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London in 1979. He completed his pre-registration jobs in and around London before taking up an initial training post in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in Northampton.

He moved to Birmingham in 1982 and after holding positions as Registrar in Central Birmingham and Senior Registrar in the West Midlands he was appointed Consultant to the Central Birmingham Health Authority in 1988. Currently he is employed by University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust, undertaking clinical work in a variety of areas. He is also Programme Director for the Birmingham School of Anaesthesia.

He and Mr Malik have worked together for the last eight years developing their practice for care of day-stay podiatric patients having local anaesthesia and sedation.
